Mares

We believe in a strong mother line in regards to breeding. Our mares all come from stamm 1916 one, if not the best, jumping motherline in Germany. We starting breeding on a very special foundation mare, Royal Contender from which our farm name originated. With full brothers jumping international and herself showing exceptional jumping talent in competition we focus our breeding building from this strong foundation. 1916 is currently ranked as the number one mother line in Holstein and the 9th ranked mother line in jumping in the world.

Royal Contender 1916

Royal Contender is a Holsteiner Mare born in 2001. She was imported to the US from Germany as a 3 year old after completing her Holsteiner Mare Performance test. With two full brothers (Controe and Contour) jumping at the top international level, we knew she was a superstar in the making. Her full brother, Controe, is also a German approved Holsteiner Breeding Stallion.

German Mare Performance test results: She was awarded Premium and a stunning 9.5 for her free jump. This puts her in the top 5% of her age group.

Windsor Royal 1916

Born: March 2006 on our wedding day, she is a special mare. She is looking more like a fancy Hunter in movement and has an excellent jump. She is currently being used as a brood mare and is pregnant with an Albarez foal.

Avery Royal 1916

Avery was born May 2008. She is beautiful and looks like a modern sport horse. This outstanding and friendly filly will be the future of our breeding program. Her mother is from the famous Holsteiner mother line,

Avery got really sick and had to go to Texas A&M for a few weeks. We are so happy she has recovered! She has incredible movement and the best personality. She is independent and just wants to be with humans.
