Royal Contender is a Holsteiner Mare born in 2001. She was
imported to the
US
from Germany as a 3 year old after completing her Holsteiner Mare Performance
test. With two full brothers (Controe and Contour) jumping at the top international level, we
knew she was a superstar in the making. Her full brother, Controe, is also
a German approved Holsteiner Breeding Stallion.
German Mare Performance test results: She was awarded Premium and a stunning 9.5
for her free jump. This puts her in the top 5% of her age group.

Controe
- Approved German Holsteiner Breeding Stallion
- Ridden by Marco Kutscher, Germany
- Winning at International level
Royal
Contender is a full sister to Controe. This stallion is an approved
Verband breeding stallion based upon his
tremendous success in the competition arena (Over 321,000 Euro lifetime
winnings) In 2006, he won the CSI*** 1.6 Meter Grand Prix of
Dortmund, as well
as competing in the finals of the 2006 German Show Jumping
Championships. When you are Marco Kutcher you have the pick of the
horses you ride.

was initially shown by Stanny Van Paesschen who placed in 7th in the
1.6M Grand Prix at the famed Olympia Show of
London as well as showing

Chogun
- Highly placed with Marco Kutscher, Germany at the
Bundeschampionship for 5 and 6 year olds
- Placed in 6 year old 2005 Bundeschampionate
A third brother, Chogun, was ridden in
the German Bundeschampionship by Marco Kutcher where he made it
the to the finals but also was highly placed in the 5yr olds and
then again the following year in the 6 yr old Finals. Recently I
spoke to Dirk Ahlmann( International rider who first brought Gitania
into the Grand Prix ring) about Chogun. He and Ludger Beerbaum
were 50 % owners in the horse Chogun before he was sold to
Finland and Dirk said that there is no doubt that Chogun has the
ability to show in the 1.6 Grand Prix classes. Recently Ludger sent us a
video
take of Chogun competing at the Championships

Curtis
- Also closely related, Curtis is out of the full-sister to Almava
the mother of RC
- Won team gold at 2006 WEG!
At the 2006 World Equestrian Games the
team gold was won by the Netherlands. On that team was a horse
named Curtis ridden by Piet Raymakers ( Piet is the famed rider who rode
Ratina Z to an individual silver in the 1992 Olympics). Curtis is
a first cousin to our Royal Contender i.e. their mothers are full
sisters(Zaloube and Amalva). After the WEG, Curtis went on to
place 2nd in the CSI-W Grand Prix of Oslo.

| Clearway Also,
out of this mother line 1916 and off a slightly different, but related
branch, comes one of the currently 'Hot' stallion in Holstein,
Clearway. He was the father to 1 Approved stallion in
Neumunster in 2005 and 2 in 2006 all with outstanding jumping ability.
Conway, who was shown in the
USA on the Grand Prix circuit by Will Simpson and Gaby Salick is
also out of the same mother ( Wodka) as Clearway. Also out of this
motherline is the up and coming star Chika's Way who is being competed
very successfully by Janne-Fredrike Meyer. |
